Affirmation

I am posting an affirmation of some of the things I believe base on the song AFFIRMATION by Savage Garden. ( with red font)

AFFIRMATION
Savage Garden

I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires

I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity

( I will write more about this when I get home... I miss Davao... really)

Honest Blog Award

A year of blogging and I’m having a lot of fun. Yes! A year ago I started writing and making records of the pathetic things I do with my life. Thanks to Mommy Dee, now I can brag na award winning na ang blog ko… (joke!) well, you see, I’m not that honest in this blog. I write things in a subtle manner. No need to write about complications and other stuff that might hurt other people. But it’s the way I am, restrained, kind and sensitive. *wink*

Thank you to Mommy Dee for this Award.

Here’s the rule:

"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"

My Ten Honest Things:

1. I honestly adore eating Red Chippy dipped in chilly vinegar. I would prefer sinamak or pinakuratan vinegar as a dip for my favorite chips but in the absence of those mentioned, burning hot cane vinegar will do.

2. Honestly, I love my friends but every time we go out for a movie we always end up choosing the most stupid movie ever. “Burn after reading” and “open water” are just but few examples of our movie selections. So I always make it to a point to watch movie alone. I do this at least twice a month.

3. I sleep naked, sometimes with briefs. I do this when I'm alone in my room.

4. I honestly don't like working with numbers. Ironically, accounting deals with figures. Good thing accounting and finance (mostly) deals with monetary accounts, money, I love Money, who doesn’t? Even if I don’t own the assets I still love handling it…

5. I only sleep maximum of 5hours a day on weekdays and whole day on Sundays. I honestly think this is taking a tool on my social life, turning me into a crappy young man experiencing mid-life crisis (ano daw?).

6. I honestly hate my dark brown skin complexion. See entry here, but I'm slowly getting over it.

7. I am an idiot when it comes to technological issues. I am thankful though that I was able to keep this blog up and running, but it took me one year to perfectly learn all the details.

Honestly, I don't know how to check the specs of my PC... no kidding!

8. I smoke. Honestly, I do. Ironically, I was a part of an anti-smoking youth advocate group formed to inform all Davaoeños about the ill effects of smoking. Bad me!

9. I miss going out with my friends. We don't have the luxury of time to go out as often as we use to. Sigh...

10. I have been avoiding exercise for too long and I’m way beyond my acceptable weight. I need to lessen my carbohydrate intake and needs to revive my badminton routine. Honestly, I now look like an overweight giant!

I said my piece so I’m tagging Ibyang, The Big MAN, Ma’am Sara, Rocky, Sandy.

I’m short of two people so anyone can list down 10 honest things and join us now… It’s fun, really…

Talk to My Hand

When I get bored, the immature and childish me comes to the surface. This day is a good example of how stupid I get when I have nothing to do. Here’s the story.

I usually keep a glass of water beside me when I work. Since I was cleaning my work station getting ready to head home, I went to the training department to return the glass that I used for the day. While I was in the training department, I saw the service printer that was issued to us by LimeInk. It is a company here in Davao the gives you a printer and supplies you with unlimited ink for a very affordable price. Then it came, the childish and immature part of me took over.

Suddenly I found myself photocopying my hands. For no apparent reason I was laughing during the whole process. I was alone and you could just imagine how stupid I looked. After a short while an office mate came in, a Big-Huge-Giant like office mate at that and asked me what I was doing. I didn’t answer him but the evidence was there, I could not deny the crime.

Here are the scanned copy of my photocopied hand.

Peace!

Disappointments and More

I was supposed to write about something else, a positive entry for that matter talking about an award for HONEST SCRAP which was given by a blogger-lawyer-mom Dee. But instead I thought about the recent happenings in the first month of 2009 and ended up typing “Disappointments and More” as a title for this entry. Let me just continue so be prepared for some negative vibes.

1. Had a very busy holiday, not a very fun way to end 2008. I got stuck with office works and saw myself doing paper works during the holidays. I was able to get away for awhile but ended up in front of the computer after the two day vacation. This is a very old, disappointing story and this is just the beginning.

2. I haven’t seen my college friends in the longest time and when a batchmate organized a small get together party I hopped into it immediately. I wish I had not gone because while the party was just starting to pick up I was apprehended by a police officer for violation of R.A.(something). Great party right?

3. We were supposed to go to Boracay-Iloilo-Cebu for a well deserved vacation. It started out as a silly plan but we were able to get tickets Davao-Manila, Manila-Caticlan, Cebu-Davao, all three flights for only Php 2,300. Great deal! I was hesitant at first but by the middle of January I was convinced that vacation is a good thing for me. I started buying things for the event, informed friends about the vacation, filed a leave at the office, and worked my ass out to save money. I even went to a diet just to be in shape for the event.15 days before the big event they canceled it. *I need some enlightenment here*

4. A good friend is sick and I’m worried.

5. I haven’t been sleeping enough.

6. I miss my friends. *You know who you are*

7. I was asked to give an opinion, I voiced my thoughts and I’m receiving cold treatment from a friend due to my honest remarks. I know I offended him though I gave my feedback on a joking manner, but hey if you can’t take honesty---then don’t ask me. Let me remind you of the cliché “reality bites”, it applies.

8. I did something very wrong; I’m guilty and very disappointed right now.

Note to ADZ:

1. Work hard. If you’re working hard now then work harder. Be happy you have two jobs, it means you are ?earning twice as much?(which I doubt).

2. You deserve a break from all this crap. So promise yourself a beach day and a movie out alone.

3. Visit your sick friend soon.

4. File a two day leave and sleep.

5. Treat your friends just to be with them and you have to revive the regular badminton game (not entirely under your control).

6. Shut up once in a while. Keep your thoughts to yourself.

7. Do something good. Compensate for your bad deed.
